on Americans This is what the future will bring us with the implementation of RFID chips implanted in every product. The data field in RFID chips contains enough data bits to give every individual item a unique ID number. When in proximity of a chip reader this data can be used to call up a record of that item. The record can include details about manufacture date, shipping, point of sale, price, who bought it, and anything else that one might want to include in a database. Some people might not like being tracked in this manner, so eventually chip jammers, hacking and countermeasures will be developed. We just wanted to give you the heads up, so do as you will with this information. Sources: RFID Journal
